CA Honemaster is a specialist UK honing company providing precision honing, honed tubing, chrome bar and specialist machining services to customers across a wide range of engineering sectors.
Founded in Cheltenham in 1984, we have over 40 years of experience supporting British industry with precision engineering, component refurbishment, machining and material supply.
From small and large component honing to honed tube supply, large manual turning, deep hole boring and gun drilling, our experienced team combines specialist engineering knowledge with extensive in-house capabilities.

Precision honing has been at the heart of CA Honemaster since the company was founded in 1984.
Today, our honing services cover everything from small-diameter batch production work to large component honing, cylinder refurbishment and specialist one-off engineering projects.
Our small honing capabilities accommodate diameters from 3mm to 50.8mm and lengths up to 300mm, making the service particularly suited to batch production requiring tight tolerances and fine surface finishes.
For larger components, we can hone diameters from 25.4mm up to 673mm and components up to 10,000mm in length.
Our large honing service is suitable for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, refurbishment projects, long components and specialist engineering applications where bore geometry, dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical.
Alongside new components, we can help restore worn, damaged or out-of-tolerance cylinder bores, helping customers extend component life and reduce unnecessary replacement and equipment downtime.

Large Turning and Specialist Machining
Our capabilities extend beyond honing and material supply, allowing CA Honemaster to provide a broader range of specialist machining services from our Cheltenham facility.
Our manual turning capabilities allow us to work with both small precision parts and exceptionally large components, including parts up to 1,090mm in diameter and 7,000mm in length.
We undertake turning, boring, facing, threading, grooving, drilling and profiling, with the flexibility required for prototypes, repairs, one-off projects and specialist components.
Our additional machining capabilities include:
- Deep hole boring – bore diameters from 10mm to 205mm, with depths up to 3,500mm.
- Gun drilling – hole diameters from 2mm to 30mm for precision deep-hole applications.
